Let's work together to intensify the fight against crime - Mashatile

Newly-elected Gauteng Premier, Paul Mashatile, callen on the Ekurhuleni Metro to work with the community to increase the offence against crime in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni.

Mashatile made this bold declaration against crime while addressing the community of Tembisa during the Gauteng Provincial Government Imbizo on Wednesday, 22 October.

"Mayor, we need to utilize the Metro Police force to fight the rampant crime in the community. Shift the focus of the police from traffic law enforcement to the fight against crime," the Premier said. More

Gauteng Government in good hands, Premier assures unions

Gauteng Premier Paul Mashatile has reassured the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) that government was in good hands in the Province.

"We have a capable team that will be able to steer the ship up to the end of the government's term in 2009," said Mashatile.

Mashatile's government to ensure stable and growing economy

As part of building Gauteng as a Globally Competitive City Region, over the next six months the provincial government's priority is to ensure a stable and growing economy in the province, says Gauteng new Premier Paul Mashatile.
