Description/Objective: The program is aimed at assisting municipalities to establish and develop plans for a short medium and long term. The plans enable the municipalities to assess the current situation in the municipal area, including avalaible resources, skills and capacities; assess the needs of the community, prioritise these needs in order of urgency and importance.

Procedures: Municipalities submit draft IDPs to the department.
